Traditional festival during the Corpus Christi day, the first Saturday of June, in addition to the religious event, local people organizes a parade with floats in which are displayed fruits, flowers, and tipical products known as “cuccidata”, to celebrate local wolkers.

N’TINNA A MARI

During the last day (the 6th August) of the patron SS Salvatore’s celebration, some challengers go up on a long trunk covered with soap placed almost horizontally on the waters in front of the pier. The purpose of the competition is to try to reach a flag on the end without falling in the water.

SAGRA PASTA A’ TAIANU

In August Cefalù celebrates a tipical dish known as “Pasta a’ taianu” an ancient dish from the times of the Arabian rule, and still today it can be found in the Sicilian cookery. Traditionally, it is made, in Cefalù, between the 4th and the 6th of August, in occasion of the patron celebrations for the SS Salvatore. Pasta a’ taianu is cooked with Bolognese sauce, fried eggplants, meat and parmigiano.

TARGA FLORIO

The very first and most challenging motor-racing events in Sicily and by the 1920s the most important event in the motoracing calendar. This exciting moment marks a continuous flow between past and present in the spirit that gave birth to the “Targa”.
Setting was, and is, the Madonie Mountains, Cefalù included.
Every year in May, participants are the big names of the Italian Rally Championship and the best drivers of the National Rally Trophy and those of the Italian Historic Rally Championship.
